Have any of you ever heard of an ear worm? In case you don't know, an ear worm is when you hear a song or a voice or sound and you can't get it out of your head. To some people, it is a dentist's drill. To others it is the Macarena. To me, it is O-bum-a. Everywhere I listen, talk radio, oldies music stations, the baseball playoffs - EVERYWHERE, I hear "This is Barrack O-bum-a and I approve this message." I have two words in reply, "SHUT UP!" I guess you could throw in an obscenity but that's not my style.
O-bum-a is everywhere. He's on the professional wrestling website that's one of my favorites (yes, I know it's fake but so is a soap opera), he's on an exercise website I was browsing, he was even on a website my kids were at. I have gotten to the point that I need less than a second to know it's another commercial and I change the channel but the voice is there. Hopefully he will be like a pet rock. A fad that fades as fast as it came.
