Aren't these things kind of the same?

Do you remember the Democrats going on and on about George W. Bush's "Mission Accomplished" ceremony? President Bush said that it was not the end of the war but the end of the aggressive activities. He was mocked mercilessly.

President Obama and MSNBC has celebrated the end of the US troops in Iraq. However, there are still over 50,000 troops in Iraq. They just aren't armored troops. Isn't this the same difference? Where's the mockery?

I just saw this article at CNSNews.com. I hope Obama realizes that this will be his high point. When all his new taxes take effect on 1/1/11, I don't believe that his approvals will be this high again.

Can I ask Joe a quick question? If your mistress (not saying you have a mistress) told you she was pregnant, would your world be completely destroyed right then and there? I mean, there is no bastard child right now. Or would it be destroyed nine months later?

If your syndicator said that he was dropping your column in 90 days, would your world be destroyed immediately? I mean, you will still receive a paycheck for the time being. Or would it be destroyed 90 days later?

If either of these situations did not happen immediately, would you say that everything is just great or are the hard times coming around the corner? Just because it's not bad right now doesn't mean it will be not bad forever.
