12/21 TFTD

When I was in high school, my Latin teacher, Mrs. Virginia Dare, would post TFTDs on the blackboard. TFTD stands for Thought For The Day. I picked this one up from today's Indianapolis Star. Since the US Senate passed the Healthcare Bribery Bill this morning, I'm not sure I could phrase it better.

Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want, and adults pay for it. It also might be a time when adults tell the government what they want, and their kids pay for it.

Hey Colin - Put Up Or Shut Up

Colin Powell thinks that he is what a Republican should be? I am more a conservative than a Republican - but I am a Republican. If General Powell thinks that HE is the posterboy for the Republican party, he should run for office. I mean Governor, Representative, or Senator. If he wins, then I will consider him a Republican and I will find another party with conservative principles. If he loses, then he should call himself a Democrat or Moonbat or whatever - just not a Republican.

There's a special place in Hell for people like this

I'm a right wing extremist. I'll admit it. HOWEVER, there are two groups of people that you should NEVER mess with - children and the mentally disabled. When I read this article, my blood started to boil. The losers who set up the fights should be squashed like the cockroaches that they are. If prisons are rough for child molesters, I hope it will be just as bad for these scumbags.

Just because you don't kowtow to O-bum-a you are a racist. I'm sorry but from where I sit, the only people who voted for this piece of garbage bill are the tree hugging, gay loving, self-absorbed, thinking they are smarter than everyone else liberals. Knock yourselves out. Over-reach. In 2010, you will be knocked back to where you belong - dope smoke filled coffee houses. I just wonder if you'll have the money to buy a drink.

Oh no you didn't

I cannot believe that President O-bum-a has decided to take on Rush Limbaugh. Does he know who he's messing with? I mean, Rush can already run a seven minute tape of the messiah going uh, well, uh etc. In all truthfulness, I am looking forward to this battle. O-bum-a is eloquent (with a teleprompter). Rush is the best at explaining his opinions (without a teleprompter).

The difference is O-bum-a is a politician (no core values, do whatever it takes to get re-elected) and Rush is consistent (conservative core values, doesn't want to be elected to anything and will tell you EXACTLY what he thinks). Rush will not have to untie the other half of his brain to win this battle. Bring it on.

Dead men tell no tales

Thank you President Bush for commuting the prison terms of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. They were convicted of wounding Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila by shooting him in the ASS while running away from a truck full of marijuana. If they shot him in the ASS because they thought he was drawing a gun on them, they should have just killed him. That may sound rough but the reason for the shooting remains the same. They thought he was pulling a gun on them. They may have still had legal problems to deal with, but they wouldn't have the perpetrator playing the victim.

When will we see this?

I am waiting for the Saturday Night Live skit in which we see a split screen with President Obama speaking on one side and the Dow Jones going through the floor on the other side. I remember that being done when President Bush was talking in September. Will we see this? I don't think so.

Let's make sure the illegals are employed

I just received my weekly update from the Information Technology Advisor. The more things change, the more they stay the same. It appears that businesses are trying to get the government to eliminate the E-verify program. The link is below:

Excuse me, but with unemployment at over 7%, you want to keep ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS on the payroll? This strikes me as being damned near unamerican. I understand times are tough. My company just laid off over 400 people. However, you need to employ AMERICANS! All I can say is I hope I find out where some of these companies are because I would drop a dime on them in a heartbeat. Sending ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS home and heavily fining the offending businesses would be a win/win. Yes we can. (LOL)

I'm back

I have taken some time off after the election to celebrate the holidays. I look at today being the final day before socialism takes over. Thank God for my family. I have a wonderful wife, two children that are straight A students, a father that is financially set up (and has taught me his secrets) and an extended family that looks out for each other and takes care of each other. We need to remember that our number one priority is our family. If we all take care of our own families, this country will survive.

As for my New Year's resolution, I promise to blog more often.
