Bring it on
I am sitting here reading an article in The American Thinker stating that author George Monbiot (the inspiration for the term "moonbat") saying that he plans on trying to arrest John Bolton (the former UN Ambassador) for war crimes. All I can think of is what my father told me as a child, "We're gonna go out back and one of us is gonna get his butt kicked." I'm thinking that a limp-wristed bitch slap isn't going to do much. I just hope that Ambassador Bolton is allowed to teach the sheriff wanna-be the lesson he is looking for.

What has happened to my party?
As many of you may have noticed, I really like politics but don't like to specifically call out the candidates. However, I am so disappointed in the Republicans right now that I will probably end up sitting out this election. I consider myself a Reagan/Limbaugh conservative. In my opinion, that means to be optimistic about the future, have a strong military, and give everyone an opportunity to better themselves. I just don't see that happening with Sen. John McCain in charge.
I am reading remarks by Sen. Lindsay Graham, Gov. Arnold Schwartzenegger, Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. McCain himself talking about how the Republicans need to sell themselves as a kindler, gentler center of the road party. They want to talk about global warming, immigration, and government spending. Why? Because they want to be inclusive.
You know what? So do I. However, I do not want to move to the center. Global warming is nothing more than alchemy of the 21st century. Not more than thirty years ago, we were warned about global cooling. So you're telling me that man has completely reversed this trend and have gone too far? If that were possible, I would create a weapon out of it and have it in my arsenal. Worried about a nuclear bomb? We'll just make your country a desert if you give us a reason! Give me a break.
Immigration? I read an article saying that the government is creating deportation camps. I'm sure that Sen. McCain (in this case, Sen. stands for Senor) will find this despicable. I don't know that for sure, just a hunch. In my opinion, what took so long? We are not talking about detention camps like the ones the Japanese were confined to in World War II. We are talking about large capacity jails. Yes jails. The ILLEGAL immigrants are here ILLEGALLY! There are approximately 20 million reasons that this is a good idea.
The next question will be, "What about the children of the ILLEGAL immigrants that are born here?"
That question has already been answered. Ask the lady who claimed sanctuary in Chicago. We deport the ILLEGAL immigrants that have been caught and give the family the option of taking the legal citizen back to the origin country with them, or leave them in foster care in the US. Cruel? I don't think so. If you ask the ILLEGAL immigrants why they are here, they will say to have a better life (the jobs are here etc.). If you love your child that much, you will leave him here to have the life you always wanted. If not, then please take him/her home with you.
The one area I have a cautious approval for Sen. McCain is government spending. He has always been vigilant in fighting pork barrel spending. I'm afraid that he'll change once he gets in charge. To get along, he'll roll over and hope they rub his belly.
One last message for Sen. McCain, please quit sending me requests for money. I am a proud card carrying Republican. I just wish you were.

What has happened to this society?
Hello everyone. Sorry about the lapse in time from my last post. I have been on vacation, sick for about a month, and work has been keeping me busy. I have a lot of things I want to discuss but will only hit the big one today.
In the first week of April, the family and I went to DisneyWorld. It was the first time I had been there. It is pretty overwhelming! However, the mass transportation system Disney is amazing. I can't imagine how many people the busses transfer each day. There are many different types of people on the bus at any time: people from the city, people from the country, people from another county, people with disabilities, men, women, mothers, fathers, and children. It seemed to be a good blend of everyone and everything.
One night at about 10:00pm, the family and I were heading back to our hotel. My wife and children were sitting on one side of the bus and I took a single seat on the other side. The bus driver was loading the bus to capacity. People who were lucky had a seat while others were holding on to the poles. I looked up and saw a mother getting ready to have to hold on to a pole with one hand and her two year old daughter with the other hand. Having ridden the Disney busses a lot prior to this trip, I knew it would be impossible for her to do it without major problems. I caught her attention and offered her and her daughter my seat. She started to cry and her husband offered me money for giving up my seat. I declined the offer and she took the seat. Everyone on the bus applauded. I guess I didn't understand and was embarrassed. Doesn't every man offer his seat to someone who needs it (e.g. mothers with children, senior citizens, someone on crutches)?
Of course, when there is a silver lining a black cloud has to be nearby. When the mother took the seat, a lady who was holding the pole beside my seat started screaming at me. "Why didn't you offer me the seat?" she screamed loud enough for my family and half of the bus to hear.
"Because you didn't need it," I said, "she did."
She asked if it was because she was overweight and had tatoos. I told her no that it was because she was young, didn't have a child to hold on to, and she wouldn't have a problem holding on to the pole. So much for being a gentleman.
I believe that if you do good things, good things will happen to you. Some call it karma, I just call it doing the right thing. So of course when my 8 year old daughter and I were holding the pole the next night, did anyone offer their seat to my daughter? Of course not. I guess they thought she was young, didn't have a child to hold on to, and wouldn't have a problem holding on to the pole. And they were overweight and had tatoos.
